At BGS PU College, we strongly believe that students are not just learners but future leaders. The Students’ Committee serves as a bridge between the faculty and the student body — encouraging teamwork, responsibility, and leadership among young minds.
The committee plays a vital role in organizing events, maintaining discipline, promoting student welfare, and upholding the values and ethos of the institution. It is the heartbeat of all student-driven initiatives, ensuring every voice is heard and every talent is recognized.
Core Student Council

Cultural Committee

The Cultural Committee of BGS PU College nurtures students’ artistic and creative expressions. From YUGMA – The Fresher’s Fest to BGS Utsav, Ethnic Day, and Nada Laya Sangama, the committee ensures vibrant participation and flawless execution of every cultural program.
Key Functions:
- Plan and organize intra- and inter-collegiate cultural events.
- Identify and mentor students talented in music, dance, theatre, and art.
- Promote cultural diversity and Indian traditions through celebrations.
- Coordinate with faculty mentors for smooth event management.
Sports Committee
“Play with passion, perform with purpose.”
The Sports Committee at BGS PU College promotes physical fitness, sportsmanship, and teamwork. With access to a world-class cricket ground and sports facilities, students are trained to excel in multiple sports disciplines.
Key Functions:
- Organize inter-house and intercollegiate sports tournaments.
- Encourage participation in state and national level competitions.
- Coordinate sports day and other athletic events.
- Foster team spirit, discipline, and leadership through games and fitness activities.
